Welcome to all of you searching for a greater level of happiness and self-fulfillment.  Whether you are an employee of a small or large business, a small business owner, an entrepreneur, a retiree, or a stay-at-home mother, you should find the following pages of personal interest. 

This site is intended to explore a new hypothesis regarding personal happiness.  The theory originates from observations of entrepreneurs and small business owners regarding their seemingly greater level of happiness relative to others, especially others with a higher level of income and education.  In trying to understand this paradox the theories of a noted humanistic psychologist are considered in conjunction with the opportunity one has to pursue holistic activities. 

While this new hypothesis, entitled the Pyramid Builder, is based on past theories as well as personal experiences and observations of others, it does require significant empirical evidence to support it.  As such, a survey is attached to help in determining the validity of the hypothesis.  We ask that you consider responding to the survey (it should take about 3 minutes to complete) so that we can gather the evidence we need to either accept or reject the theory, or make changes as warranted.
